WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP MINISTRY

The purpose of the Women’s Fellowship Committee is to foster a spirit of fellowship, especially among women, in outreach to promote spiritual and physical wellness, and to aid in benevolence for all God’s people.


Recently, sisters, Deaconesses Lauren and Teresa Harris represented Mt. Moriah by participating in the annual “Stuff the Bus” campaign, sponsored by the United Way of Frederick County. This is the 16th year for this event, which began in June and ended at the end of July 2024. These items help needy families with school supplies so that their children are ready when school begins. Mt. Moriah provided a full cart of over 260 items to this worthy cause.

Heartly House http://heartlyhouse.org recently was a recipient. Over 1,000 personal care items were collected, and 50 individual bags, which also included scriptural messages, were delivered by committee members. Cleaning supplies were also given to the shelter.



For Mother’s Day 2021, the Francis Scott Key Mall had a donation drive to benefit CareNet Pregnancy Center in Frederick, Maryland. The Women’s Fellowship Committee collected diapers, formula, and baby wipes and delivered them directly to the center. Cindy Morris, a representative from CareNet was most appreciative for the donations.
